The Lyrics

Originally submitted in 2006, but incorrectly
You died last week, dear, it's true
Can't Take The Ice Off Of You
You'd turn like fish in the sun
Just a wee bit overdone
You had no insurance, dear
And that's why you are still here
I tried, the freezer won't do
Can't Take The Ice Off Of You

You're propped up nice in your chair
Always watched TV from there
Had to pry open your eyes
Hope you can see past the flies
Your face seems full, you look swell
With lipstick, rouge, still my gal
Each day I buy ten bags, new
Can't Take The Ice Off Of You..

I love you baby, though you're so
Cold to touch
I love you baby,
Darned funeral's cost too much
I love you baby,
even more, every day
Oh pretty baby,
You're really cool, this way
Oh pretty baby
I hope you don't decay
Each night I love you baby,
I still love you..

Today you're lookin' more blue
Can't Take The Ice Off Of You
Guess trash day, me and friend Herb
Will set you out by the curb..

This was great. I guess the next chapter is "My Ice Abhorred You"?

Well, I'll tell ya somethin', this one left me feeling a little cold. But Mike liked it. (In case anyone makes any Walt Disney jokes, you should know Walt was not only not frozen, but faced the other extreme, and was cremated.)

My head is frozen under the Materhorn, where the Trilateral commission meets. Cool parody.

What alvin said.

Why don't you bury her in the back yard?
littleIceCakes - January 16, 2008 - Report this comment
555 for the pathos of this rather strange parody!
Peregrin - January 16, 2008 - Report this comment
Or, as an alternative follow up, "My Ice (I Bought You)
AFW - January 16, 2008 - Report this comment
Thanks, PMS...and 2Eagle..Well, backyard burial would be expectable, and not consistent, or in line with the rest of the sick funny theme...and thanks, LLC...meant to be strange funny, not strange serious...and thanks, Peregrin...another good title...but, I rarely feel the passion to do sequels, or follow ups...don't know why, just usually move on to something else
