The Lyrics
The idea for this one came from Roger Corman's "Tales of Terror" (1962), "The Black Cat" segment, which is a pastiche of Poe's "The Black Cat" and "The Cask of Amontillado." In the segment, Vincent Price fools around with Peter Lorre's wife. Lorre discovers the infidelity and entombs Price and wife behind a wall, along with, accidentally, a black cat. The police come to investigate and are about to leave when the cats starts to caterwaul behind the wall.
