| Parody Song Title: | "Dyin' From the Pain" |
| Parody Written by: | Rick Duncan |
I'll never water ski
The way my tired bones are hurting me
Ache in my side and I'm fit to be tied
And my neck has got a strain
I feel like dyin' from the pain
If I live a few more years
I'll need more drugs or at least some more beers
I'll never go to play basketball, bro
For my headaches remain
I feel like dyin' from the pain
Though I am now fifty-seven
I feel like I am almost seventy
I'm not that suicidal
But I could use a Midol
To face the years I might not want to see
Some day when my dyin's done
I'll prob'bly wind up somewhere hot as the sun
It won't be cool, but then darling you'll
Be there sharing my pain
And we'll be wishing for the rain
And lawyers we'll have to retain
We'll be right back in Hell again
The way my tired bones are hurting me
Ache in my side and I'm fit to be tied
And my neck has got a strain
I feel like dyin' from the pain
If I live a few more years
I'll need more drugs or at least some more beers
I'll never go to play basketball, bro
For my headaches remain
I feel like dyin' from the pain
Though I am now fifty-seven
I feel like I am almost seventy
I'm not that suicidal
But I could use a Midol
To face the years I might not want to see
Some day when my dyin's done
I'll prob'bly wind up somewhere hot as the sun
It won't be cool, but then darling you'll
Be there sharing my pain
And we'll be wishing for the rain
And lawyers we'll have to retain
We'll be right back in Hell again

Great job on a great OS! 555
Boy, does this strike a chord...my spinal cord, I think...lol...I'm still fairly spry at fifty-five, but lately I wake up with a rather noticeable pain in the right side of my neck and the area below it...probably from throwing that stupid miniature rubber football around here at work too much...ah...work...it'll wear you down...(sigh)...tossing you a tight spiral of little rubber 5's here...OUCH! ~ ~ ~
For the record, I'm not fifty-seven.
I once read an alternate-history story that had JFK surviving his assassination attempt and dying at age 70 from a water-skiing accident. This was written before RFK's son Michael was killed in a snow-skiing accident. And let's not forget "jumping the shark." Ayyyy!
