The Lyrics

Sorry, I wasn't happy with the other versions of this song out there. Too political to be enjoyable for me. Enjoy.
Pull away
When I go drivin'
But I can't stop crashing my car into

Shall I swerve
Would it block your view
If I can't stop crashing my car into

My horn always blows
Traffic bothers me
Anger really shows
Tailgate and you will see

Do not stand
Parking signs tell you
That's why I'm here crashing my car into

Two lanes on the road
You use number three
Sorry when you're towed
Won't you stop suing me

I can't drive
But I still want to
So I can't stop crashing my car into

So I can't stop crashing my car into

I'm quite possibly the least patient driver in the entire world...so I totally relate to this one. Fabulous work, 2nz!

5-5-5. There's plenty of those drivers on the road here in Florida
2nz - January 13, 2004 - Report this comment
There's an abundance of them here in New York

2nz, nice job with this Elvis number. He wasn't really a big favorite of mine because when I really started getting interested in music he had already reached and exceeded the bloated and overripe stage and it seemed way too sorry to me. But his body of work (as opposed to his own ravaged physical body) still stands very tall & strong. When I hear it without thinking about what became of him I can enjoy it. OH...another clue: so you are in New York it appears?. Trying to get myself to sit down and write something for my "Author" page but it just seems too formal a concept for my head. I think it's telling me that whatever I think I am today might not be the case tomorrow. Still, inquiring minds may want to know at least something and I don't think that's an unreasonable thing. Maybe in the next couple days (he says with all the enthusiasm of a high-school student who hasn't yet started a book report due this week.) One more "OH"....ChuckyG! I see a new format here regarding voting/viewing/commenting and I fully approve and support. Seems a large-sized improvement. The extra option(s) for where to go next are a real nice touch. Good stuff.

I enjoy your comments, Paul. Everyone else provides one, maybe two witty lines that they sat down and rewrote four or five time before they hit enter. You just do this stream-of-consciousness thing and it doesn't read like a singular statement, it reads like a glimpse at the many thoughts swirling around in your head at the time. Your an honest man, Charlie Brown, and I respect that. Oh and thanks and all that polite stuff.

2nz, Cool.

Great job, here, 2nz - 5's. I should have read, voted, and commented earlier - I apologize for the delay. Good work!

thanks Paul, I've been planning those changes for some time now... there may still be some incremental improvements to those sections still to come

So you're a New Yorker? I thought 'nz' meant you were a New Zealander!
2nz - January 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Nope, actually a native from the part of New York responsible for Long Island Iced Teas. And thanks Jess for giving my short parody the look'n'rate. And thanks ChuckyG for that plus all the help with making Appreciation Week more organized.

Hey, man, that song's called "Can't Help Falling In Love," not "Fools Rush In." That was a Brook Benton song, baby.
2nz - January 16, 2004 - Report this comment
I thought you went back to Mars.

2nz - Well, 3 or 4 days behind the curve here. Didn't know you had the title wrong either, and THAT'S a fact.
2nz - January 19, 2004 - Report this comment
Yeah, I found that out late. I don't think it's worth resubmitting, so I'll just ask ChuckyG to change the title, when he gets the chance.
