"You Don't Have to Slay Me, Honey"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

When you said you needed soup
I said well, that's just tough s--t
So I got into my shell
It's such a perfect fit

Poked my head out now and then
Quick, I pulled it back again
Don't want to be turtle soup
Cause then what's left of me?

You don't have to slay me honey, ditch the cooking book
You don't have to shake the pepper on me when you cook
Release me, release me--
I know you could eat me
But release me, and please don't tie me down

Left alone to waddle on my way
Left to live another day
Things all seem to be intact--
My head, my tail, my legs

You don't have to slay me honey
Ditch the cooking book
None of them there recipes are really worth a look
Release me, release me,
I know you could taste me
But release me, and please don't tie me down

Release me, release me, release me

Good one Royce. Are you a member of the turtle club?
Royce Miller - July 22, 2003 - Report this comment
Guy--the turtle club, can't honestly say I know about it; but I lived in Florida and saw lots of sea turtles, and the green turtle (protected species) inspired this. You can enlighten me about the club if you want--I say with hesitation

I thought this was gonna be about Buffy. I'm slightly disappointed.

I thought it was going to be about Buffy, too, but I'm not disappointed at all. It was a great parody Royce.

Terrapin, Jeff? As in University of Maryland? As a Rutgers fan, how'd ya like to leave that no-good ACC for the Big East? I know you'd clobber us, but we need another school or two!
