Parody Song Title:

"I Have a Teddy Bear that Moos"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Although we prefer Aretha Franklin's version, this one was less elaborate and lent itself better to parodying...
I'm starting to break up
Maybe I'm in need of shake up
I have a teddy bear that moos
This tome of a bear, now
I swear it's a bear with flair, wow
I have a teddy bear that moos

Forever it's clever, it came from K-Mart
And it thrills me through
Moreover, it 'low'erd, in the shopping cart
And winked at me too
Be leather or feathers, to perfect degree
Cop-ies voices new
My brain is a milkshake of glee!

My health you discuss, dear
My slide has left you nonplussed, dear
I have a teddy bear that moos
I tell you "My bear mimes"
And you say "It's loony-bin time"
And then my teddy bear I'll lose

This tedder endeavors, to play a big part
Mimic skill exudes
A plover, or rover, a dove or a hart
Oh it will mock too
But bov' is it's opus, it's udderly free
When it starts to moo
Good teddy must not take from me...

(I have a teddy bear that moos)

(I have a teddy bear that moos)

I never will sever, from Urso sweetheart
Tho' you say must do
A vexer, perplexer, he surely is smart
Oh he in-forms too
An aider, abettor, he told me your pleas
Are just jea-lous ruse
And told me to poison your tea

My darling deceived me
For the bear is great fun
It moos.....
He loves me true
Had enough of you
Cancel my bear?
How I love his moo
You tried to cancel my bear
You know Teddy says, to slay you unaware
I said he'll stay, he'll stay my special bear

Thanks everyone! Alvin, Pippin's brain is always a milkshake of glee.... Ethan, cows low, so 'low'erd was the past tense. Sort of. ;-) The little blue man? Was he the one that said "I wuv you to bits?"

Very mooving and bearing on bovine........In fact, 'The Marvelous Toy' came to my mind - from the '60's if my memory serves me correctly. Excellent !

I loved this one beary , beary much! Oh, Merry, did you write this one with me - your crazy, bear-loving, friend in mind? Even if you didn't, or if Pippin wrote most of it, I still love it & must now find a teddy bear that moos.
Peregrin - March 22, 2004 - Report this comment
I shall answer! B-Bear, this one was my idea, but it was a 50/50 effort, Merry put in the clever stuff after I filled the other bits with the bland stuff! Maybe we wrote it with a bear in mind, and also someone we know as Moo! Good luck with your quest!

Hey Belindabear, maybe you should get together with Ethan - he says he has one! Just hop on the 80 expressway - you could be on Long Island in no time! :-D
