Song Parodies -> Frank, John, Charles (and Peter)
| Original Song Title: | "Abraham Martin and John" |
| Original Performer: | Dion |
| Parody Song Title: | "Frank, John, Charles (and Peter)" |
| Parody Written by: | Spencer Karter |
This is my latest parody to the memories of Frank Reynolds (1923-1983), John Chancellor (1927-1996), Charles Kuralt (1934-1997), and Peter Jennings (1938-2005), gone but not forgotten by, it's to the tune of ABRAHAM MARTIN & JOHN.
Has anybody here seen my old friend Frank?
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Has anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Has anybody here seen my old friend Charles?
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Didn't you love the things they report for?
Didn't they try to find some news for you and me?
And will be free
Sunday soon, it's going to be one day
Has anybody here seen, my old friend Peter?
Can you tell me when he's on?
I saw him watching the television set
with Frank, John, and Charles.
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Has anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Has anybody here seen my old friend Charles?
Can you tell me when he's on?
He reported to a lot of people
But it seems the reporters die young,
But I looked around and he's not on
Didn't you love the things they report for?
Didn't they try to find some news for you and me?
And will be free
Sunday soon, it's going to be one day
Has anybody here seen, my old friend Peter?
Can you tell me when he's on?
I saw him watching the television set
with Frank, John, and Charles.

I thought your effort was good. Perhaps you could've titled it "Frank Charles Peter and John", to be a little more in sync with the original title, but you deserve credit for a good tribute.
Every one of 'em was a liberal propagandist.
Yeah, good tribute.
