Parody Song Title:

"Who'll Stump McCain"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

Stump: To campaign for.
(instrumental opening)

Long as I remember
McCain, they're talking down.
"Real conservative," not.
Confusion on the ground.
Good men through the ages
these votes, have not won.
And I wonder, still I wonder
who'll stump McCain?

He went down to Virginia
seeking Pat Robertson's help.
Called out Jerry Falwell.
Retreating toward them now.
Nine years he's been running
for those golden chains.
And I wonder, still I wonder
who'll stump McCain?

(instrumental break)

Heard the singers praising.
Obama called "Kal-El."
Lobbyists together
with John, they're much too warm.
Still, the wingnut skeptics
don't think he's quite "right."
And I wonder, still I wonder
who'll stump McCain?

(instrumental close)

Whoever may be stumping (for) McCain, it's to be hoped whichever opponent has the op will stomp'im. Well crafted parody, MP.

Just wondering about the "wingnut" ref in this parody. Are you referring to the USAF in some manner? McCain was a Navy pilot and "Wingnut" has always been a slang term for Airman as in USAF airman. Just wondering if you'd care to elaborate on that term.

Guy--Individuals of a certain political persuasion use "wingnut" as shorthand for "right wing nut job" and I think that's what is meant here. (MP--correct me if I'm wrong.) I didn't know that it had a much different meaning in USAF-speak! Michael--LOL!

MasonR - I'm just jerking Michael's chain because I can and I enjoy doing so. I have addressed this and my voting today in the comments section of Michael's other McCain parody. I do not consider the USAF term "wingnut" a put down. I am proud of both of my "wingnut" affiliations.
