The Lyrics

For the record, in Navyspeak, "SEAL" stands for "SEa Air and Land." Okay, it's not the best abbreviation, but they get the job done. And I think some of you will appreciate my use of one of the most antiwar songs of the Rock and Roll Era for this piece on perhaps the most effective U.S. military mission since Nagasaki.
Well, come on, a few of you big strong men.
Uncle Sam needs your help again.
Gotta go after that evil man
who's hiding out in Pakistan.
Put down your books and pick up a gun.
And go on and kill that bum!

And it's one, two, three, what're we fighting for?
To avenge nine-eleven.
Next stop is bin Laden.
And it's five, six, seven, go and get that guy who hates.
Well, ain't no time to wonder why.
Whoopee! Osama's gotta die!

Well, come on, Generals, and Admirals, too.
Here's the job you gotta do.
Come up with a foolproof plan.
Carry it out, I know you can.
So when the Big Man says, "It's a go!"
you can tell Barack, "We're on with the show!"

And it's one, two, three, what're we fighting for?
To avenge nine-eleven.
Next stop is bin Laden.
And it's five, six, seven, go and get that guy who hates.
Well, ain't no time to wonder why.
Whoopee! Osama's gotta die!

Well, come on, sailors, don't be slow.
You know the target, so, go, go!
For what he did in 2001
we shoulda stuck a fork in him so he'd be done.
Got a little sidetracked in Iraq
but now's the time to get him back!

And it's one, two, three, what're we fighting for?
To avenge nine-eleven.
Next stop is bin Laden.
And it's five, six, seven, go and get that guy who hates.
Well, ain't no time to wonder why.
Whoopee! Osama's gonna die!

Well, come on, America, U.S.A.!
Let's give a cheer, hip, hip, hooray!
We shot bin Laden right in the head
and now the son of a pig is dead!
First the first one on your block
to say, "Thank you, SEALs" and, "Thank you, Barack!"

Come on!
One, two, three, what're we fighting for?
To avenge nine-eleven!
Next stop is bin Laden!
And it's five, six, seven, go and get that guy who hates!
Well, ain't no time to wonder why!
Whoopee! We made Osama die!

And it's one, two, three, what're we fighting for?
To avenge nine-eleven!
Next stop is bin Laden!
And it's five, six, seven, go and get that guy who hates!
Well, ain't no time to wonder why!
Whoopee! We made Osama die!
Awright!
Should we be gloating? Put it this way: The Dalai Lama said it was justified. If even the Dalai Lama can't excuse a guy's killing, I think it's safe to gloat.

Great one! Osama was hoping to see 72 virgins, but what he got was 72 sturgeons...LOL Michael, did you check out my tribute: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/foreigner43.shtml

The Dalai Lama once said it would be reasonable to shoot back at someone who threatened you with a gun. There is no logical reason for the righteous to surrender to evil. That would be endorsing and supporting it. Nice to see a song I recognize, turned to a new purpose. It even rhymes and the pacing is correct. A few of the old timers are still here. Well done.
