Song Parodies -> "Stupid Parodies"

Original Song Title:

"Summer Holiday"

Original Performer:

Cliff Richards

Parody Song Title:

"Stupid Parodies"

Parody Written by:

Malcolm Higgins

The Lyrics

we're all going to write some stupid parodies
though we're working on the gem we're sure
everybody writes some stupid parodies
just don't worry if it's me or you
we write one or two...

we all rite some rhymes and hope it's mighty
we all write some lines we hope shine through
some write songs about the movies
we'll soon see if it's true

everybody writes a stupid parody
Guy Di Rito has wrota one or two
admit you have wrote a stupid parody
I know some of my stupid parodies
deserve those "Twos"
either three or twos

Everybody has a summer holiday
doin' things they always wanted to
So we're going on a summer holiday,
to make our dreams come true
for me and you.
for me and you.

I believe my own body of work is the exception that proves your song's rule. "Prove," of course, I mean in the adage's intended sense of "to test" or "to try". Alas, that test's outcome merely proves--in an entirely different sense ("to confirm")--that my work is no exception. 5s all around.
PS Must ask whether that final verse is supposed to be illustrative ??? :-)

I was gonna ask the same thing as Stan did re: the last verse. Guilty as charged here: I written some winners but there are a few I'm embarassed to have my name next to (I had Chucky delete the extremely horrible ones some time back).
