The Lyrics

She was afraid to go into McDonalds
She was watching her figure, you see
She was afraid to go into McDonalds
In case she became a size three...
(Four, six, eight - tell the people what she ate)

She had an itsy bitsy teenie weenie bite from a sun-dried zucchini
All she ate for her main meal today
Was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie bite from a sun-dried zucchini
And from the burgers, away she would stay
(Two, three, four, stick around we'll tell ya more)

She was afraid that she needed nutrition
She got herself in a terrible state
She was afraid but she needed nutrition
And she needed to put on some weight
(Four, six, eight - tell the people what she ate)

It was an itsy bitsy teenie tiny tomato all round and shiny
That she ate for her main meal today
It was an itsy bitsy teenie tiny tomato all round and shiny
But she ain't putting on weight that way
(Two, three, four, stick around she'll eat some more)

Now she's gone and gone into McDonalds
All her previous diet's for naught
Now she's gone and gone into McDonalds
I wonder just what she has bought
(Four, six, eight - tell the people what she ate)

It was a super-double-cheesey-mega-whopping-quarter-pounder-burger
That she ate just for breakfast today
It was a super-double-cheesey-mega-whopping-quarter-pounder-burger
Don't want to find out just what she will weigh

(From zucchini to tomato)
(From tomato to the store)
(In the store a whopping burger)
Now she weighs a whole lot more

It chopped off the title, but we know what you meant.

Yeah, I noticed that... I guess 50's the limit. I wonder if it truncated it in preview, and I didn't even notice? Probably. Incidentally, we call them "courgettes" over here, but that wouldn't have scanned as well.

Hey Pheelbo, my wife and I went to see the new "Bridget Jones" movie last night...boy, if THAT movie is any indication, you Brits are almost as wacked as us Yanks! ;-)
Phil Alexander - November 29, 2004 - Report this comment
If Bridget Jones counts as typical Brit, then I must say that the typical US police force I've seen in Police Academy I..XX really do you guys proud ;-)

Phil, I recently attended a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's " Iolanthe ". Something tells me that " Iolanthe " is FAR more "British" than " Bridget Jones ", especially the bits about turning the House of Lords into a bunch of fairies.

I've always loved The Sentry Song from Iolanthe: "When in that house MPs divide, if they've a brain and cerebellum, too/They've got to keep that brain outside, and vote just how their leaders tell 'em too" - beautiful, and as true now as it ever was then.

Phil, I think she must weigh 555 pounds about now. Good read. (made me hungry though)
