Parody Song Title:

"White Mistress"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

It had to be done
I’m dreaming of a White Mistress
A mistress or maybe some old whore
There’ll be dozens talkin’ and one wife walkin’
And you’ll hear Tiger snortin’ up some blow

I’m dreamin’ of a White Mistress
No Christmas present from my wife (I did get a subpoena though)
Our family tree is Blasian and White
We’ll be talkin’ to our lawyers Christmas night

I’m dreamin’ of a White Mistress
Sponsors are now starting to bail
They are starting to hike we can maybe keep Nike
I can’t keep up with my hate mail

We’re gonna hear about another White Mistress
Vicodin will make it feel alright
Cadillacs are crashin’ in the night
And may all your Mistresses be White

How rapid is the fall from icon to punchline!

As Tom Lehrer sang long ago in his "Folk Song Army" lyrics, "It don't matter if you put a coupl'a extra syllables into a line...and it don't even gotta rhyne (sic)." The White Christmas movie/song dates to 1946, not '60s. 2-4-3

The song was written by Irving Berlin for the musical film "Holiday Inn", which was released in 1942.
