Song Parodies -> The Nightly Snore
| Original Song Title: | "The Night Before" |
| Original Performer: | Beatles |
| Parody Song Title: | "The Nightly Snore" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
Awake my girl lie-ie-ie-ies--
The nightly snore.
It ruffles my tie-ie-ie-ies,
The nightly snore
And disturbs the blinds;
The neighbor's dog whines;
Beasts keen high 'cause of the nightly snore.
She's gone beyond si-i-i-ighs--
The nightly snore.
"I can't sleep!" she cri-i-i-ies--
The nightly snore.
Holds the pillow near
What's between each ear;
Breathing has become a mighty chore.
"Last night to blast fight," she says,
"Those wind blasts must die!"
So she starts to kink my lips;
The gusts snuffed. . .also, I.
She kissed me "goodby-y-y-ye."
The nightly snore.
Just a muffled cry-y-y-y,
The nightly snore.
Soon she will not hear
Apnea in ears.
Breathing nixed will fix the nightly snore.
Last night was "last night":
Her venting vengeance applied.
Though once pink, now blue, my lips
She wants to make me die.
Now lifeless I lie-ie-ie-ie.
No nightly snore.
Lungs no more can ply-y-y-y
The nightly snore.
In court shed she tears--
She got forty years. . .
Sleeping five to cell with dykie four,
Dykes who nightly snore.
The nightly snore.
It ruffles my tie-ie-ie-ies,
The nightly snore
And disturbs the blinds;
The neighbor's dog whines;
Beasts keen high 'cause of the nightly snore.
She's gone beyond si-i-i-ighs--
The nightly snore.
"I can't sleep!" she cri-i-i-ies--
The nightly snore.
Holds the pillow near
What's between each ear;
Breathing has become a mighty chore.
"Last night to blast fight," she says,
"Those wind blasts must die!"
So she starts to kink my lips;
The gusts snuffed. . .also, I.
She kissed me "goodby-y-y-ye."

Just a muffled cry-y-y-y,
The nightly snore.
