The Lyrics

Another food parody. For some reason, I think about eating every day.
We were dining
A place our friend had said was good
We were trying
To eat the soup with sticks of wood
Had to order
Pointing at the chart
Then we said, "Hey wait"
Boats pass by our way-ay-ay

We were dining
But something strange 'bout ev'ry dish
We were trying
But some things looked just like raw fish
With unagi
And the uni
Tried maguro too
Didn't have a clue-ooh-ohh
Tried to get a handle
On the names of all the weird stuff I gazed upon
With the ebi, tako, ika, kani, inari, saba
We ate a lot of sushi

We were dining
Till we thought we were gonna die
It was our job
To empty boats that passed us by
Didn't know
That stuff isn't cheap
They charge by the plate
When we got the numbered bill-ill-ill
We almost fell right out of our wooden chairs
And we may return once we're back in the black
And once again
We'll eat a lot of sushi

Rick, great job here. If I were to list my favorite lines I'd practically have to copy the entire parody into this comment-box. Excellent sentence crafting and syllable pacing. 5's

Thanks Johnny, this was another toughie. Mari had done it, so it was one of the few I had left alone.
