The Lyrics

I was talking about how cool a parody of California Girls (written by someone else) was, and someone spoke of a wish for someone to parody this song, as it was his favorite Beach Boys song. Right when he said that, this popped into my head, and I went back and wrote it down. You wouldn't believe how much fun I had thinking of words that rhyme with "vibration" ;-).
I, I gotta get a good sleep tonight,
Gotta be awake in time to go to chem;
I hear the sound of a booming bass
Through the walls that wakes me up at three AM.

I'm pickin' up loud vibrations,
They're shakin' our dorm's foundations.
It's givin' me agitation.
I'm hopin' for a quick cessation.
I'm pickin' up loud vibrations,
It's really infuriatin';
It's clearly a noise violation,
I'm callin' administration.

Close my eyes
And try to go to sleep,
Hear the beat, I know just where it's from.
When they turn on a song,
I hear the force of a dozen drums.

I'm pickin' up loud vibrations.
I'm feelin' sleep deprivation,
Can't get a good education,
I feel like room migration.
I'm pickin' up loud vibrations.
They warrant a large citation,
Their boom box's confiscation,
And maybe decapitation.

{Loud DnB song in background, with bass turned way up}

(Ahhhhhhh)
(What the hell and damnation...)
I know just where I can hear it blare
(Ah my my what frustration)
(maybe disintegration)
(Ah my my what)
Gotta stop those frickin' vibrations
A happenin' hither
Gotta stop those frickin' vibrations
A happenin' hither
Gotta stop those frickin' vibrations
A happenin'
Ahhhhhhhh
I'm pickin' up loud vibrations -
The pain of cohabitation.
I'm pickin' up loud vibrations

{fade out on a bad rap song}

Nicely done. If you want to check out the ultimate example of this sort of thing, download lyrics to Tom Lehrers' "When You Are Old And Gray". He also proceeded to upgrade these lyrics with a new version in "Tomfoolery". Highly recommended work for all aspiring humor writers.

Yes, that is an awesome song. Took me a sec to remember what you were referring to, but then I did. I have basically everything he ever recorded.

I missed this originally neminem. Good job, and you are right, "ations" are endless when you think about it ! Ilove the line "Through the walls that wakes me up at three AM"

Good job neminem. 5 stars. I have just added a new Shania Twain parody to the Shania Twain section that I think you would enjoy. There is even a link to a sample of the original song. Any comments or votes would be graciously appreciated. This is a parody of "Whose Bed Has Your Boots Been Under?" and although it says written by "Twain/Lange", it was ofcourse written by me.

Um, Jack... where'd you get the idea that my name was Ethan? Cause it's not . And Chris, I'll make sure to check that out sometime, even though there is a bit of grammatical weirdness in your title... unquestionize it, you get "Your boots *has* been under whose bed."

As a screenwriter wannabe, I really liked the descriptive comments about the loud bass and bad rap - it added a lot to it.
