Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Beach Boys

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

Pol Potlatch

The Lyrics

(falsetto backed by 4-part discord)

Huckabee, Huckabee
Faux guy, larded schmuck ya see
Garbled his sayings that some love
Fake fare is what he’s full of

Huck Huck Huckabee

Schmuck Schmuck Schmuckabee

Huckabee, verity are not paired on “Fair” TV
Huckabee verily will not snare presidency

Filling up those pounds he’d shed
Bloated darling of inbred
Sad man will be stumbling soon
Fictive boon for grumbling goons

Pol - I'll give you this...recently Huckabee has gone beyond merely shooting himself in the foot. He's emptying the whole magazine. ;D

And to continue OMR's point, shooting yourself in the foot is a dangerous thing to do when you keep putting your foot in your mouth. Very good parody, although "Hushabye" was not a Beach Boys song. Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman wrote it in 1959, and the hit version was by a Brooklyn doo-wop group called the Mystics, who essentially didn't have another hit, and briefly (after "Hushabye") had a lead singer named Jerry Landis -- whose real name was Paul Simon, who, of course, went on to bigger things. One more thing: The Security Code for this comment was 6PM, an odd time to tell someone "Hushabye."
