The Lyrics

No, this rewritten theme from an old TV show isn't about another old TV show, "Candid Camera." It's about the most honest speaker at the recent Republican Convention. But there's occasionally a difference between honesty and accuracy.
(Instrumental break)

All but one man lied
there in Tampa Bay.
And they say he rambled on...

Candid!
Talked to an empty chair!
What do you do when you're candid
but there's nobody there?

Saw the President
in his mind, it's true.
But the world would never see...

Candid!
When it all hit the fan!
What do you do when you're candid
to an invisible man?

Wherever you go, for the rest of your life
they'll ask you...
"What gives, man?"

Candid!
Eastwood was in the zone.
What do you do when you're candid
but you're really alone?

Of his San Fran cop
and Man With No Name
we can never speak again!

Candid!
That's not they way to preach!
What do you do when you're candid
in a baffling speech?

Candid!

I went to bed early that night, so I missed one of the great moments in American political history. Had to watch it on youtube the next day. I wonder who thought this was a good idea? Maybe any publicity is good publicity. Like your opening line "All but one man lied there in Tampa Bay". Security code for this comment "MUC". Time to start raking some.

You commie dimrat fascists have done nothing but lie and dissemble and project all the crimes of your hate-filled goose-stepping party on everyone else for the last four decades. You're in no position to tell us anything about candor, donkey-fellator boy: you've never tried it, so you don't know what it's like.
