"Variance? Obscene"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

You used to be cool, man. Now you're nothin' but a HACK.
Freedom's chained in his mind cause he doesn't find it neat
Copying scenes and sets, screw originality
Oh, it feels like he calls variance obscene
Oh, it seems like he thinks "Variance? Obscene"

Starts in a bar? I think that's number twenty-three
Some may not care, I guess, but I can only weep
Cause it seems like he thinks "Variance? Obscene"
Yes, it feels like he calls variance obscene

Motifs are fine, but this is ridiculous, you see (this is just obscene)
Wish that I could blame this sea of scripts bland on all but he (wish he was blame free)
Oh, it feels like he calls variance obscene
Not just the board of execs, you see, oh-oh-oh-oh

They say that Hollywood's rough but wow
All his uniqueness has been drowned
Yeah, he's become one of the crowd
Bland cookie-cutter crap's churned out
Haven't watched his older stuff now
I know it's better, don't you frown
I'm not biased, you're the sheep now, bro

Ev'rything I have read said that now he aims to please
The lowest common denominator, which can't be me
No, it just seems like he thinks "Variance? Obscene"
Cause what was old can't be cliché, see
Yes, it just feels like he calls variance obscene
He's dropped the ball by not pleasing me
It looks like all media's been seen
It's all his fault, forgot to reach me
You have the gall, claim I'm hard to please?
Sheep, you're all

I just realised that it's a little weird me writing a parody mocking a common hipster the tune of a song by a band you've probably never heard of. Then again, I only know of them because of the comedy cover series Ten Second Songs, so who knows, really.
