Who can forget the 1970s cop turned Private Detective Frank Cannon? He retired from the LAPD after his wife and son were tragically killed in a car crash. As Private Detective, Cannon was a big man with a passion for fine food, pipe-smoking, and his '72 Lincoln Continental Mark IV with the Motorola MTS mobile phone (predated cell phones)! Cannon used his class, charm, cunningness, and wit to solve his cases. Sometimes he got beat up, but most of the time he used karate, judo, and even his abdomen to knock opponents down. He carried a snub-nosed .38. A portly man, Cannon remianed a model citizen and was very kind to everyone.
