The Lyrics
I rented the film "Zyzzyx Road" from Redbox today b/c Katherine Heigl was in it. What I didn't know was that this is the lowest box-office flop in US history with a domestic total of $30!!! Not $30,000... just $30!!! To cheat on low-budget film retrictions aimed at domestic distribution first, the filmmakers rented a theater in Dallas, Tx and played the film at 1 show per day for a week, earning a mere $30 from 6 patrons!!! They then made $368,000 overseas! The film cost $1.3 mil to make! A plot synopsis: Grant is an accountant with a bad marriage and a daughter whom he loves. He takes to the road to service his accounts in Las Vegas. While there he meets seductive Marissa. They have a week-long affair which culminates in the arrival of Marissa's ex-boyfriend, Joey. Joey attempts to kill the lovers, but Grant gets the upper hand and in turn kills Joey. Grant and Marissa then drive Joey's body to Zyzzyx Road and Grant buries Joey in the desert there. The next morning, the body is missing and something is trying to kill Grant and Marissa ~Wiki. The only problem is that Joey is never buried and what promised to be some good mind-fu*k theater turns to disaster at the end. No spoilers- you'll have to rent it. Available from Redbox as of Sept 11, 2012. For simplicity and to rhyme with "Judas" I shortened the film's title to just "Zyzzyx" (pronounced Ziz-iks) ;-)

I am not familiar with Zyzzyx the film but I am very familiar with Zyzzyx the road. Fun to see it named in a parody. Your synopsis of the film reminds me of "A Degree of Murder," with Anita Pallenburg. If you haven't seen it you should try and get a copy (not easy to do, however).
Because Katherine Heigl is in "Zyzzyx Road" and b/c it is the lowest grossing film in box office history, it MAY just become a cult film worth owning. It came out in 2006 but was just released this month on DVD in 2012! I bought a copy off Amazon for $4 just to own it. It has enough of a plot to make it interesting at first, but the anti-climatic and abrupt ending is a disappointment. Overall, I'd say this is nothing more than an 86 minute "Twilight Zone" episode that cost $1.3 million!!! The only bonus features are a trailer and individual shooting scenes from the film. Btw, I liked the weird title so much that I HAD to use it with a parody somehow- "Judas" works fine :)
"Zyzzyx Road" sounds more like a home movie that you would see on "America's Funniest Home Videos". First, it wins nothing, then later the makers of the home video, walk away with $100,000! :-) But for this parody, you earned $555,000,000 for it! ;-) Great Job!
