The Lyrics

(Sorry, this has nothing to do with the 2006 animated film starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet)
The Red Cross gave us some supplies
When our kid gave us a surprise
Our boy he was so mad at Sister
He grabbed some of her stuff laying round
He had a way to get his revenge, yes Mister
Which brought the house down

He just dropped her stuff into the toilet
In hope that it would leave the house
There’s not enough space inside that toilet
To let the pipes push big things past

Pulled down on the handle ‘til it got flushed away
Lady Bic, emery boards and her makeup hoard flushed away
Started the basement flooding, things got wet into decay
Plus her cellphone and her diary, flushed away
Flushed away

Now you could see the water gushing out
Then, eerie, started rising past the couch
You’d have to scuba to the cellar
Or else just ride the laundry bin
Yes people, we need to find some shelter
Thank God for insurance

Stuffed it down the big hole, and got it flushed away
What a trick, oh dear Lord, now our labrador's run away
‘Cause there’s nothing left standing, the walls have turned to clay
And our wood-smoked turkey for Sunday, washed away
Flushed away

Please don’t stick those big things in the toilet
Such as your sister’s favorite blouse
There’s not enough space inside that toilet
To let the pipes move things out fast

Pulled down on that handle, ‘til it all got flushed away
Get a stick, use it toward, the huge spanking he gets today (gets today)
Funny that we did recover the toilet and bidet (the bidet)
Ain’t no joke, the boy’s big trust fund’s blown away…
Blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away

(Artistry) I really liked the title sub, but I felt like you really struggled with this one. The pacing was a bit shaky throughout and I really didn't feel satisfied with the story. You didn't really punch it all the way through and left me needing more from it. THe rhyming was masterful however. I love that you got to use "bidet" and the "labrador" line was inspired! A solid 4 across the board.

This one didn't get flushed down the toilet! I enjoyed this one a whole lot. I like the idea behind it and the frantic, fast singing of this song really helped create a certain mood for the song that fits the topic like a glove.

Then comes the mushroom cloud of sludge.

Had a small, less acute version of this problem with kids at a much later age. Parents on an extended vacation, a flushed bouquet, complete with long stiff stems later retrieved by plumber, never explained by the perpetrator! 5s.

(Artistry) Great parody, but I agree with B-Man in that it needed a little bit of polishing. Still, 555 things flushed away down the loo!

This is perhaps one of my favorite Carrie Underwood songs, so points there. The rhyming was spot on, but the pacing was a tad shaky in spots. I would have liked to have seen more things the boy flushed instead of what the damage was to the house (but that's just me). Nicely done!

This is so good, I really hope you get a chance to turn it into a music video.
