The Lyrics

This is was a bit of a challenge to write, but I think it turned out pretty well. The original song has been one of the most popular songs of the year. The parody is safe for work, but the original song is not. It is easy to find on YouTube, though.
That little pig is a friend to me, we have fun it's true
Little red shirt and a big belly, I'm a chubby dude
If you're not into sweets then go, since I'm done with you
Noisy bounce, c'mon Tigger stop, it isn't funny dude
Look, I got plans now, getting honey goo
Bees try to stop my plans, still get honey goo
Walkin slowly down the dirt street, I do not own running shoes
Talkin bout Hundred Acre Wood, now who run it? Pooh

Now you want to get a jar from Pooh?
This my industry, Winnie P
You want to get fat?
I'm the guy to see
There's a rumbly in my tumbly
Too bad, now it's all for me
I might dip into my stash too much
But it's so yum-yummy
Truthfully, I've got a big
Enough sweet tooth to eat
Much more than my friend the pig
And it is never fruit or meat
If I ever took the bus
I would take up two whole seats
My friends rarely make a fuss
'Bout my weight and huge belly

I never do laundry, no need
Since I am cooler than you
I do not sweat, I don't bleed
Stay motivated by greed
To get the flavor I need
Oh yes, indeed
I like to hum all day long
Seeking more sweets with a song
Might not be right
Sometimes you need to be wrong
I got no need to be strong
Just enough to lift a jar
Walking's tough, I have no car
I get hungry walking far
I don't want to raise the bar
Unless honey is below
And then you already know
My paws will be on the jar
Then I will make my belly grow

That little pig is a friend to me, we have fun it's true
Little red shirt and a big belly, I'm a chubby dude
If you're not into sweets then go, since I'm done with you
Noisy bounce, c'mon Tigger stop, it isn't funny dude
Look, I got plans now, getting honey goo
Bees try to stop my plans, still get honey goo
Walkin slowly down the dirt street, I do not own running shoes
Talkin bout Hundred Acre Wood, now who run it? Pooh

Please cheer up, Eeyore, don't feel bad
Eat some honey, don't feel sad
I don't understand your brain
Ignorance helps me feel glad
Tigger still won't slow his bounce
Rabbit still gripes and gripes and gripes
Got SaladGirl on Tinder, yikes!
Now when I swipe, the swipe's not right

I hate both woozles and heffalumps
They make me feel like a chump
No hunny makes me a grump
I join Eeyore in the dumps
It might be worse than the mumps
I didn't overreact
Hunny is life that's a fact
Now, heffalump bones might get cracked
I won't be breaking their bones though
If hunny is returned intact
Woozles are signing a pact
Since they don't wanna get smacked
Don't mess with Winnie the P
When I'm in need of a snack
Flabby fat arms, still give a good whack
The woozles and the heffalumps
Whimper since they're running scared
They've got legs around their tails
Thanks to this cuddly hunny bear.

Pooh

Ah, Ethan...I'm sure you remember how much I love current music haha. Weird to think you're now almost as old as I was when I first showed up here, an "old guy" stuck in the past -- what the hell are you doing still listening to new stuff? You're supposed to be obsessed with 90's crap or something. Anyway, shockingly I've never heard of this one but since you commented on mine I went ahead and watched the Youtube video (twice!) so thanks for that; now I need a shower. Anyway, the parody was vintage Ethan -- very clever and well-constructed, and the image of Pooh as gangsta (am I allowed to use that word? I don't even know anymore) is hilarious. The chorus was especially great; "honey goo" is a great sub for "money move". So awesome job, and nice to see you back; hope you stick around awhile.

Dude, you might have bested me in the Bodac Yellow parody sweepstakes. Great frickin' job! Also, the timing for the topic is perfect right now, with the "Goodbye Christopher Robin" movie currently out. Definitely in my top 10 for October!

I'm not sure if I've ever watched the official video, but writing this meant watching the lyric video more times than anyone ever should. And "Gangsta Pooh" is 100% accurate as a description of what's going on here.
