Reposting this because of the original artist bug that happened last time.
We all were hangin' at the golf course
My score was crap though I was playin' with force
It was annoying me, my mediocrity
These games are no fun, 'cause I keep losin' every one
When golf's on TV, it makes me drowsy
But that ain't nothin' compared to when they make me
Join in their group game, I really hate it
I rent some golf clubs, but I don't see the point in it
Now I'm a misery, an awful sight now
My friends mock me, and they're laughin' at my plight now
Wish I knew how to play it their way
But I can't seem to keep up, I can barely find the fairway
If there's water, my golf balls get wetter
You think it's easy, I'd like to see you do better
I won't quit, but the worst is ahead of me

I'm almost done, but this still takes a fortnight

This is truly awful....and lousy.....no humour at all
This is what is really starting to annoy me - people criticising a parody simply because they're a fan of the original artist. And I know I'm not the only person who's had this problem. If only these people could get their heads around the idea that ninety-nine times out of a hundred, it's not about the parody writer ridiculing or making fun of the original artist. For what it's worth, I'm also a White Stripes fan, and I wouldn't have been able to write this parody if I didn't own a copy of the song on CD. Same goes for almost every other parody I've written here, and I'm sure a lot of writers here could say the same. (Not wanting to rant on about this, but it really does bother me. I like that people are encouraged to vote and comment, but some of them need to be encouraged to think as well.)
Aussie - DKTOS, but it looks interesting. Yeah, the "original artist" fans don't get it. When a creative person gets an idea, they have to run with it. I parody songs that I love AND hate,and the same goes for the artists that do those songs -- because they fit what the subject matter that I want to write about. Most likely these particular fans are not creative people...
I think this rocks and i got here thro the white stripes website, you really worked the original into something very clever and witty
