The Lyrics

My tribute to the Iron Man movies. Because I say Age of Ultron on Tuesday. Enjoy!
He's that red-and-gold tin man up in the sky
But he's not just so-ome mindless bot
Far from it, there are times that his ego gets way out of hand
Hard to blame him with what he's got

Iron Man is shooting bad guys with repulsors
Tony Stark's a hero guy
Iron Man is drinking too many tequilas
Tony Stark is a flawed guy
Snarky guy
Flyin' high

Stark was once your run-of-the-e-mill douchebag businessman
Until he took that one bad ride
Now an arc reactor, in his chest it resides
So those fragments don't make him die

Tony Stark decided that said arc reactor
Should power a suit that flies
Iron Man now picks fights with those evil-doers
That had made that missile fly
And more guys
Who aren't nice
Makes sense, right? Yeah yeah-eah, ah-ah-yeah

Shoot a tank or three-ee-ee-ee
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh

It may seem on the surface acts like a sleazy lover
Not concerned about what is right
But when the chips are down, may be shocked to discover
That for freedom he'll always fight

Iron Man, in comics, kind of a tin Hitler
That's not the hero I like
Tony Stark, when played by Robert Downey Jr.
Is smarm I can get behind
Funny guy, yeah

Snide (snide) dick (dick), Tony Stark
Roll (roll), reload (load), tear shit apart
Stane to Whiplash to Killian, you kicked all their hiney-ey-ey-eys
Iron Man, awesome as can be

It's kinda weird that I wrote a parody about Thor before Iron Man, but that implies that these kinda things make sense, and we all know that's a load of bollocks.

I love the original song, one of my favorites by the PUSA. However, the pacing seemed off in a couple places, and once again my lack of knowledge of all things Marvel really didn't help in this situation. Nice idea that could have been executed a little better.

I'm a big superhero fan so reading a parody about Iron Man is always a blast!

It is hard to get a smooth ride out of this, it's hard to think/sing/read I-RON MAN, then TO-NEE STARK in the chorus. A little more general detail would have made this even funnier.

With the adaptation to the "Infinity Gauntlet" series underway, do you think they'll keep the part where Tony Starks' heads gets ripped off?

Gah! I messed up...but you get the question.

DKTOS until now...this was an inspired parody. Pacing may be an issue, but I liked it. Good intro to the song for me

(Artistry) Generally, I agree with what's been said. The pacing was a little hard to nail down completely, syllabic emphasis was the main issue for me. I did however like the content matter and I really enjoyed your take. My favorite line was, "smarm I can get behind"! I'm right there with ya, buddy! 455 Infinity Stones!
