At least Green Day's pop is better than Britney's "rock" (as in rockin' in someone's bed. Hahaha!).

Straight fours, HFX. I think it's safe to assume, though, that, in 2005 AD, pop is cramped on its seat in the charts by neo-urban (crunk, gangsta rap). While this urban genre is being poisoned by the mainstream, rock keeps clear and pure. Let's not go back to the 80s, when fake rock dominated the charts (Europe, anyone? Bon Jovi's later albums?)
