The Lyrics

Nothing to do with the cartoon (which I've never seen), this is about the childhood game...and it's violent tendencies.
Kids are nigh never tired, ooh-ooh-ooh
Pretend that the floor's on fire
Red rover and hopscotch, ooh-ooh-ooh
Messed around while parents watched
But of all the fun games, there's one, ooh-ooh-ooh
I never won, wasn't fun
Some random kid declared a motion, ooh-ooh-ooh
That caused such a violent commotion

Who would be king of the hill?
Whoever did proved their will
Oh, to kick ev'rybody's ass
Who dared to make them not last
As the true king of the hill
The concept is made of thrills
Oh, but in the end, 'twas a task
That put us all in a cast

No matter how steep the incline, ooh-ooh-ooh
Well, you'll get shoved right off in due time
By your standard two-hand block, ooh-ooh-ooh
Or a kick right to the crotch
"Whatever goes" seems primed for farce, ooh-ooh-ooh
Kicking, punching, leaving bite marks (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh)
No-one wants to make the motion, ooh-ooh-ooh
Of a "tone it down" notion

Who would be king of the hill?
Whoever had the most will
Oh, to be a small, violent man
Or girl, they've been known to scratch
To be the king of the hill
Got that adrenaline thrill
Oh, in the moment, it's a blast
But it's a feel that won't last

I never wanted to seem
Like I'd fold with utmost ease
So I kept on, although my knees
Were redder than a lobster that's peeved

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Who would be king of the hill?
The kid who had the most will
Oh, to throw their friends by their pants
So yes, my answer is "pass"

I don't think I ever played King of the Hill either, though that's because a) I was never a socially active child, b) I wasn't a physically active child and c) there's not a lot of hills to be king of where I live.
