The Lyrics

Original song here. Adoringly bastardized, synthgasmically Auto-Tuned parody recording here.
A red sun
Yo-ko-hama
To-kyo

I have some yen within my clutch, clutch
Small gloves and Hello Kitty blush
(Stop, no touch, boy!)
Finesse, no blisters when
Chopsticks, we eat with them
We’re making peace signs when we pose

Flat-boned feet, bound on the floor
I love these checkered neon buttons
Bangs are straight and hardcore
Ikasu, let’s proclaim Asian love
Hai, represent, we’re talkin’ slant-eyed, s-slant-eyed

Japan
Ohayo, sensei!
(Harajuku)
Japan
Skinny freckled babes
(Love miso soup)
Japan
Eraidesune!
Juh-Juh-Japan…
J-J-J-Japan

Big eyes and butts, we stay without
Still somehow master kawaii pouts
(Anime eyes)
Lolita clothing slaves
Pokemon porn? H’okay!
Ichiban! Tentacles in sight

Love long time, five dolla more
True glory beckons
Make you seppuku with samurai sword
Heat this food, noodles baked in a cup
And what’s for dinner? Well, it's all rice, a-all rice

Japan
Pourin’ the sake
Got a fuku
Japan
Winning baseball games
Lost World War II
Japan
Bonsai kittens? Yay!
Juh-Juh-Japan…
J-J-J…

I’m a white dude with the last fork digging at the sushi bar
What a waste of dimes, no chance of winning at DDR
Got some great old trippy drugs, best opium pickin’s since Myanmar
I’m a ninja, I’m a ninja - I’m best disguised in a kimono

Teppanyaki’s good, but the menu’s only in Japanese
The teriyaki floods, it drips down, don’t drown
The beef is in season, but no, it’s just complete MSG
Get the seaweed, that’s never touched the greasy brownish…

Pan
Ohayo, sensei!
(Harajuku)
Japan
Skinny freckled babes
(Love miso soup)
Japan
Eraidesune!
(Harajuku)
Japan
Skinny freckled babes
(Love miso soup)
Japan
Eraidesune!
Juh-Juh-Japan…
J-J-J…

Calamari and katanas
Hajimamashite, mama
Gamma trauma, dropping ramen
From that Hiroshima bombing
Tall robotic electronics
Hai, monosyllabic phonics
Got no drama in Nippon now
Bow to your emperor, baka!

Go!
See Saitana, hit the clubs in Kyoto
(You’ll vomit from the sake bombs, admit it)
Oh, no
It’s Godzilla!
Pray to kami Hirohito
(I’m on it!)
…if you’re Shinto.
(I’m not.)

Japan
Pouring the sake
Got a fuku
Japan
Winning baseball games
Lost World War II
[repeat]

Japan!

**I'm half Asian, so feel free to ask and I'll do my best to provide the meanings of half of each Japanese word. (So are you only going to give us a half answer?) Welcome back Emiloca, although you missed out on The Ages Of Amiright competition... Showed up for one round and then disappeared into thin air (It's seriously good to see you back)

Konnichiwa, EmiLoca-san! (Hello, EmiLoca)(takes a bow with hands together) Very impressive parody. This caught my eye in a heartbeat. My tears are now welling, not because it's sad, because I've found this song very beautiful and entertaining. Also, clever use of Japanese words, especially when replacing "do-do-do-do" from the OS. I myself have Asian roots since I'm Filipino. My and my bro are into video games and anime, not to mention sushi and soba. Me and my bro love to eat with chopsticks, but my bro does it better than I. I wish I could go to Japan. I would like to visit Dotonbori in Osaka. Anyways, here's 5 Sashimi Sushi, 5 Soba Noodles, and 5 Shrimp Tempura! Domo arigato, Miss EmiLoca!!

Oh Emi. I get so excited when I see you've submitted something new, because it happens far too infrequently, in my opinion. That said, once I actually READ your new submission, I'm usually sitting here depressed, because you are SO talents, SO funny, and SO smart...that I end up just feeling a little bit retarded. Jerk. Oh...but back to praising you. I loved this. SO many LOL lines...honed to perfection...I especially loved the Colby part...but I loved it all!!
Arwen - May 07, 2009 - Report this comment
Um..."you are SO talents." What the crap?? I am not smart enough to intentionally comment in broken English as a tribute to the parody. That was just an indicator of the very real retardation that envelopes me when I read your stuff. True story.
Invisible Boy - May 07, 2009 - Report this comment
Emi...your stuff is just over-the-top. You are like the T.S. Eliot of amiright.
Smart...funny...clever...dark...you got it all going on...

Arigato to Matthias (sorry for characteristically half-assing Ages), Christie Marie M (haha - as long as you weren't crying from my pronunciation of 'Myanmar'), Arwen (Such feedback from Miss Fabulosity herself is really meaningful, I can't thank you enough :). ...Jerk.) and Invisible Boy (if I'm the T.S. Eliot of amiright, then you're the Ralph Ellison). You all make my heart go happy gorgeous fun time.

It disappoints me how much of this I understood. Great work, TMGLTM, but 'fuku/WWII' and 'sushi bar/DDR' stood out for me.

you say hajimamas***e and I say hajimemas***e, let's call the whole thing off......tsuyoi, Emi, and I was just in Harajuku last year and if that's not the ichiban wackiest street on the planet I'll go ape (er, Monkey) - you are still the dazzler Emi (and gee, you must be almost 16 by now) - this is how it's done folks - there are more targets being hit here than in a Pachinko parlour - and I humbly offer you my own inferior take on the topic because Kinyobi of course is sharing-day

Happy Fun Tankees to Gren and Stu (this is a testament to how culturally void I am - I misspell hajimemas***e, I mispronounce Myanmar, I had to look up 90% of the references in your comment - but of course I'll check out your parody.) :)

Cool parody, Emi-chan! I would love to go to Japan. There's just so much awesomeness there! The food is nearly perfect, the music there rocks, and it's pretty much the only place you can play GuitarFreaks and DrumMania. 5 bowls of Ramen, 5 Asian Kung-Fu Generation CDs, and 5 IIDX Controllers for this one!
Silver Power - June 07, 2009 - Report this comment
Awesome job... The references rocked and the parody was just plain awesome!

SOTM: Excellent job! Kind of hard to follow because of the Japanese words, but still really good job!!

P.S. Glen S, I rhymed "sushi bar" with "DDR" in my parody "I Love Japan".

(SOTM) I got tears in my eyes too...of laughter..and enviousness of your artistry. Wow, this just was too damned good! The way you took every line, every breakdown and rap and made them count. We have a winner.

Brilliant as usual Emiloca and I'm glad to see you and your humor are back in full force as usual, hopefully we're going to see more parodies by you now, it's been awhile...

I'm one third Sumo (i.e could I triple my weight I'd be in business) so I approve of this parody.

(SOTM) Domo arigato for parodying Japanese Culture, but no mention of Super Sentai? Mangas? Fortune cookies? It's all good, though. I loved the references you used, even if I didn't get all of them. Now I've you the chorus stuck in my head. 455

SOTM: Love the recording, fun to read the lyrics again! An excellent job, and I hope the rest of the crowd takes the time to listen to your recording, it's well worth it!

(SOTM) Holy crap, I DO know this song! I thought I didn't because I can't tell one current female singer from the next unless I know the song...anyway! Great tribute to all things Japanese. Loved the recording ('specially the Autotune...must know how you did that so I can mess around with it (I'll need a working mike first)), 555!

Fun to read again
You're still T.S.Eliot
I'm Ralph Ellison

Help me out here. My oldest daughter has been living in China for a year working as an English teacher. In every picture she sends home she's surrounded by legions of locals all chucking the "peace sign"...what's with that ?
