Parody Song Title:

"All Winter Long"

Parody Written by:

Parker Gabriel

This is an answer to Kid Rock's "All Summer Long."
The new decade had just begun year of Nineteen Eighty-One
One of Linda's boys was out upon his own
He lived a quiet normal life but mine had nothing but the strife
I was locked in mental prison all alone

Doc Demento had his show on syndicated radio
Too bad that I can't eat smogberries
Besides I really had no way to get what I wanted played
For the pay phones I never had enough money

It was an evil time and place
That I'm shoving in their face
Because they kept up tone-deafness to any songs
It's a hospital they claimed
But it was prison all the same
And my cell was locked and bolted all winter long
And the guards had loaded rifles all winter long

The so-called shrinks that prison had were all scientists gone mad
With torture and poison they could use on you
None of the guards had uniforms but at least they all were warm
And they had silver bullets loaded in their rifles too

I hope they've torn that prison down
Or burned it to the ground
Because its very existence was in the wrong
They've kept it a crime to be insane
And say I'm guilty as they came
But they deserve to freeze in coolers all winter long
And to have gangrene from frostbite all winter long

When I escaped in Eighty-Three they launched a manhunt for me
And their orders were to shoot me till I'd been killed
And in Eighty-Six they did but they never will get rid
Of the freedom fighter I became and remain still

And all this has made me itchy
To hear Bobby Jimmy Ritchie
So he calls himself Kid Rock you say okay I'm wrong
But I'll be howling at the moon
Like in Zevon's famous tune
Singing Werewolves Of London all winter long
Singing Werewolves Of London all winter long

I love the OS, but this parody is nothing like it and is not really funny. 1s.

It was meant to be a slice of bitterness, not to be that funny. Kid Rock was somewhat nostalgic when he wrote the original words, but I have harsh memories of the same approximate time in my own life.

I honestly thought this was really funny.
