The Lyrics

No one ever warned me of Rick Astley’s ditty
(“I think I might hurl!”)
The way he dances makes me bored
And now my teeth are gritting
(“No more!”)
I clicked this link, now I seethe
Because I’m seeing that
I thought the link was of pictures
Of some LOLcats

Its torture the song really blows, Blows!
This ginger guy is gross, Gross!
He’s a Ron Howard clone, Clone!

Song topped Billboards in the 80s
Now used by Net Nazis
We’d much rather listen to Brrriittney

Synthpop needs to swap
“Never gonna give you up”
Web sites all delight
Giving me a huge fright
Rick-Rolled, I’ve been trolled
4chan you are in control, No!!!!

It flopped, Let it drop!
“Never gonna give you up”
It bites! Wrecked my life!
Even made me lose my wife!
Rick-Rolled, Album’s gold
But to me you’re stubborn mold, Gross!

“There’s no guy in the world just like him” so I hear
“A full commitment is his offer” but that’s my biggest fear
Now he says he won’t run or ever try to desert me
That is freaking me out. How can I flee this turkey?!

Can’t argue that this song is junk, Junk
He’s wobblin’ like a drunk, Drunk
Croons in dark alleys? What the fuck, Fuck?!
Ow! Ow! I’d wish that Rick would shut his mouth, Mouth
Because my life’s going south, South
Stop this British clown, Clown!
“Never let you down!”

This sucks! He made bucks!?
“Never gonna give you up”
Megabytes took their lives
Hearing this bad love song tripe
Rick-Rolled, Records sold?
80s were strange to behold, Whoa!

It’s crap! “It’s A Trap!”
As Admiral Akbar once unwrapped
In spite I just might
Add this link to your site!
Rick-Roll, What’s your goal?
In my head I’ll drill a hole, Yowch!

Won’t give up me up!
Won’t let me down!
Won’t turn around
Or desert me!

Won’t make me cry!
Won’t say goodbye!
Won’t tell a lie!
You won’t hurt me?!

Think I’ll throw up!
Your Brit-Pop sounds
Please turn them down
They disturb me!

Here come the cops!
“Put your hands up!”
Enough’s enough!

Now your music can’t chart you’re arrested!

What’s this? Getting pissed!
This wasted dollar-sign named miss!
Song’s hype makes me gripe
Think I’ll get someone to snipe
Rick-Roll lost control
Now Ke$ha’s the biggest troll, Groan!

Won’t shop for this flop
The producer’s head I’ll chop
Voice cracks on her tracks
Rather hear Rebecca Black!
Rick-Roll’s a nice stroll
At least it doesn’t suck my soul, No!
Want to hear Ke$ha's new single?!

Worth 5s for the Admiral Akbar reference alone.

(SOTM) People who waste time in Rick-Rolling need to get a life. There's more to life than satisfying their egos knowing that they fooled someone to watch the first 5 seconds of Rick Astley's dumb video, when they thought they were gonna be treated to a new song by a favorite band or something.

(SOTM) You're ROLLING MAtty! LOL! 555! What's funny is, I used to like that song, before it started being used for Rick-Rolling.

One annoying song used to diss on another annoying song - that's alright in my book.

Really nice how you included the NGGTU lyrics in the bridge of the song...and you did get me with the Rick Roll at the bottom. Well done!

(SOTM) Time to roll out the three 5's for this song, good luck in the contest too! :-)

I remember when he came out...singing the same song over and over again, slightly changing the words. Ugh. Great job reflecting that in your song!

(SOTM) I can actually say that I have never been Rick-Rolled. EVER. Maybe I just don't visit the right boards, I dunno. Still, fantastic parody, loved the trashing of Ke$ha in the last chorus, that made me LOL, as did fitting the NGGYU lyrics into the bridge. 555 for you!

I knock on wood as I type my comment.... Love how you generated the "Never Gonna Give You Up" lyrics into the song. Hilarious! Has anyone parodied that yet? (Probably.)

Nice double-dig at both Astley and Ke$ha. Funny lines, but the paraphraes from 'Never gonna give you up' stood out to me

Time will not be kind to this parody in about 6 months or so, when most of the world will forget what a RickRoll is, or even the existence of Rebecca hopes. But let's enjoy this Meme while we can.

I don't know Aggy, Maybe Rebecca Black but the horrors of Rick-Rolling will be around forever. It actually started years ago before Rick Astley's tune and it was called "Duck-Rolling" in which you would post a link to a picture of a duck with wheels instead of the link that you were talking about. Ah, The progression of the Internet.

After a second read, I love this spoof even more. Even though I am kind of a Ke$ha fan (and I'm in the vast minority that thinks that "Friday" by Rebecca Black wasn't too bad)...but this is really well done!

I had to wiki this just to see what you were referring to. That said, I liked the turnabout at the end to trashing this gawdawful OS and I got a chuckle out of the suicidal megabytes.
