The Lyrics

People playing up the X-Box live
A graphic world is what the people buy
Well I'm an old time gamer, I can't lie
Get my kicks playing Golden Eye--well

Love Nintendo
(Duck Hunt!)
Not the Wii though
(Scroll screen!)
When Mario
Did 2-d Scrolls

Old time Link was a hero
He's been reduced to a paper troll
Mortal Kombat I was killing
Back when Donkey Kong was still a villain

When Mega Man was great
Not kiddy or made undersized
Them old time games are great
When Bowser wasn't playing Tennis

I still play Frogger and Pac Man
I never got into World of Warcraft
Mike Tyson's punch out before he went and bit some dude's ear off
And back when Sonic was still thought as fast

I still play Castlevania III
Now arcades do not make money
Couldn't score in old hockey games
Now to score just shoot the gosh damn things

Don't hate games of today
And music games are kinda fly
but games of yesterday
Are best for us who are fanatics

Nintendo Wii
X-Box please
You will disappear

I'll admit that I like Halo 3
I own almost ev'ry Need for Speed
When I'm given decisions
Classic gaming on my television

It's F-Zero today
or Perfect Dark I can't decide
N64's okay
That's not as old as I'd like

To me it's not as much the age of the games as the graphics, I prefer old ones with a cartoony feeling over those modern ones that comes close to reality, old Doom II and Quake I still rules supreme.

As the former master of the Atari 5200, and as someone who could use even half the cash he pumped into arcade games in the Eighties -- from Times Square down to Wildwood, I must've played them all -- I award you 5 bonus lives.

I really like the old games where the graphics move sideways if you turn...It's really quite likeable to me.

I love the classic games and there are some good ones in this parody for example: "Mike Tyson's Punch Out", "Golden Eye", and "Castlevania III" are a few of my favorites!

I'm pretty much of an old school gamer myself. I enjoyed Genesis games like Sonic The Hedgehog series, Phantasy Stars 2-4, Rocket Knight Adventures, Truxton, Whip Rush...a lot too numerous to mention. Last week I played old school fighting games like Street Fighter 2 and Fatal Fury. But now the only game I play is Sims 3 for PC. I really enjoyed gaming a whole lot no matter how old or new they are. Final score: 555.

Good parody. I like a little bit of both myself, but the older games DO have a certain charm. 555
