The Lyrics

I don't know that this will be my entry for Evanescence either. . .her songs are tough to write as comical when I write from within the song (my style of writing demands that), but the ideas I feel are good ones so I am typing them out anyway, this one isn't very funny--but comforting. Though I don't have an imaginary friend, I do sometimes feel comforted when closing my eyes and thinking of those I care about and love--it kind of works the same way. You Tube for the OS. . .
Swollen up but I don't feel the bleeding
'Cause she's wiped all my tears
on frightening nights

Oh how I wish that this voice that I'm hearing
would progress and exist outside my mind

In my dreams and in the shower
When torment falls upon my eyes
I talk to air sometimes for hours
and swear a soothing voice will comfort me

She doesn't tell me her name
When a monster scares me
She's right there to save me
It's not that lame
When the voice whispers right through me
If I'm lonely, that's when she lays right beside me

If I need a friend who knows my feelings
I close my eyes and then I smile
Though I cannot control life's meaning
My soul waits for her to speak again

In my mind of comic powers
and one line gags of every type
A voice inside me helps empower
the life I lead of which you see
Check me out at where my recordings are.

I was also going to do "Imaginary Friend" to this Evanescence song. You did a great job with this, not exactly funny, but really moving, just like Evanescene's lyrics.

I echo Matthias on this one... what's that? Sorry... it was just my imaginary friend telling me to vote 5's

Can't we all relate to that? That sounds like what everyone does when no one else is there - like imagining you are with some babe when you don't have a date.

Talking to yourself is another thing that happens.

i listen to all evanescence music, so i'm sorta a fan, but not the type that flames people for parodying their fav music. i think your parodies are quite interesting and funny at times, but the pacing just don't match! maybe you just need to hear her songs first.

Thelastaurora, thank you for your comment. I do record my work tla, and my pacing has to be good to do that. This particular one wasn't trying to be terribly funny, but I have to say I disagree with your comment on the pacing. I too am a fan, and pacing is one thing I take very seriously as a recording artist.

This parody it turns out is of a remix of TOS, which is linked to in the intro, I plan to parody the actual Imaginary soon. . .

Very poetic, Lord B+A+D . . . I bestow upon thee the ~TinkerBell Award~ for the magical imagery here, Sir.
