Parody Song Title:

"Inside the Courtroom"

Parody Written by:

Dante's Inferno had multiple descending rings in which various species of 'sinners' were held and tormented, e.g. suicides in one area, and, uh, lawyers (?) in another. Trouble is, Lawyers serve their apprenticeships *here*. Hence the following: (Sound of alarm. It's two AM, and her bedtime was 11:30 PM. It's been that way for weeks. Such is life in the fast lane - no, not parties and drugs. As hell labors, so must its servants; and hell neither rests nor sleeps. Devon isn't there yet - just in the courtroom, er, antechamber...)
Jump, Devon,
Get your face put on,
Another rodent in the race until the money's gone,
Deceiver,
No one believes her,
The eyes stare, the mirror's glare,
The lawyer shows, a woman's gone.

Devon,
Seeks to get ahead,
Buried deep the secret mind,
Law school stole the girl,
Undertaken,
Humanity broken,
You recall the real person,
The being you see is *stone*.(1)

Devon's truth is beyond belief,
Trust me, I'm just like her, a thief.

I'll take everything,
Return you nothing, (2)
Run you like a slave,
So that you long for the rotten grave.
Discard your belief,
Forsake your life,
Embrace the strife,
Fight the hidden warfare, evil to save.

(Here it gets ugly. Lawyers don't talk about this part.)

Sign there,
How little you care,
Thousands will die tomorrow while you sleep your sleep tonight,
Cut here,
Blood will disappear,
Thousands today, millions tomorrow - now you're uptight.(3)

Liar,
Your one desire,
Her love now a Latin phrase that means 'search and destroy',
Your thoughts quiver,
Stand and deliver!
The eyes stare, the mirror's glare,
The lawyer shows, a woman's gone.

Devon's truth is beyond belief,
Trust me, I'm just like her, a thief.
I'll take everything,
Return you nothing,
Run you like a slave,
So that you long for the rotten grave.
Discard your belief,
Take up the knife,
Embrace the strife,
Fight the hidden warfare, evil to save.

"Cuff them both."

I'll take everything,
Return you nothing,
Run you like a slave,
So that you long for the rotten grave.
Discard your belief,
Forsake your life,
Embrace the strife,
Fight the hidden warfare, evil to save.

Jump, Devon,
Get your mask put on,
Another rodent in the race until the power's gone,
Deceiver,
No one believes her,
The eyes glare, the people stare,
The Fueher shows, The money's gone. (4)

1) Unfeeling, unemotional outside of the house of war where emotions are spilled like blood and the claws of prosecution and defence rip each other apart for the prize. 2) only one Law truly exists in the courtroom: Vae Victis, or 'Woe to the Vanquished'. 3) Most politicians start as Lawyers, and they go from the upper levels of hell to the lower ones as they increase in temporal power - until they become as the kings and deities of the earth. 4) Apart from the Nazi associations, the word 'Fueher' simply means 'Leader'. Here, I use it to indicate the nature of concentrated power: power corrupts, and the end state of concentrated power, when wielded by a single individual for a long enough time, tends to look like fascism irrespective of what it is actually called.
