The Lyrics

Please note that near the end of the song, this parody breaks pacing with the song and then resumes it's pacing later. For reference purposes, the original phrase, "With arms wide open" is always in sync with the phrase, "The store was open" in this parody. Just fyi. And the lines that appear in quotes are one side of a cell phone conversation.
I have no words, the sky is gray
It seems the snow, has come today
I say good-byes, and drive away
I hope that some, employees stay

The store was open
And I was all right
could park any place, the snow was covering

The store was open
The store was open

I drive real slow, when I can't see
I had to swerve, lookout a tree
Run to the store, to get things for my wife
The snow did fall, but through all my strife...

The store was open
It's sign was so bright
'Welcome to our place. It's two for one on string'
The store was open
But I forgot my change
I bought these gloves...
And chocolate jelly rings

The store was open
The store was open

I'll call my wife again
Hold on
"Yeah, it was open"
"Wide open"

"I'll get food for the fish"
"Yes I understand"
"If I buy two one's free"
"Do we need rubber bands?"
"We have enough canned food..."
"No, it just tastes so bland"
"Oh, how I hate cell phones"
"The STORE was OPEN!"

"THE STORE WAS OPEN!!!"
"NO, I'm not yelling at you!" <----
"I don't care if my pacing is off. Who cares about the song?"
"I'm cold, I drove all the way out here for YOU and now you can't hear me..."
"THE STORE WAS OPEN!!!"

"Yeah, it was OPEN!"
"I bought you JELLY RINGS..."
"YEAH!"

The store was open
...wide open
It's a bit rough. I'll probably take a hit in the votes, but it's for the sake of creativity so be honest.

This was good... reminds my of my winters in the midwest!

Not a bad effort. The diversion from pacing was done for humour's sake, so it balances out.
