This is the Bite

For my food to be broken down,
It will have to follow a path
From my mouth to my stomach and then to my bowels to dispatch.
'Cause every dish is a dish you can never get back.

With my knife,
'Cause I like to masticate pieces that are the right size.
I've been waiting since breakfast for this,
This is the bite.

When my body needs energy,
It's as close as a meal away;
Chew it up well, swallow, and send the food on its way!
