The Lyrics

Alas... The reason why I haven't been submitting as many parodies this month. The incredibly nerdy virus of "D&D" has infected me... Roll a D-20 for Knowledge of the Original Song if you failed it here it is..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgKv5v-HUwM
To all their fears unchained dragon
Now peasants he doth fry
Through the town his burnination
Made the king wet his undies
Oath to the noblest knight
As Puff kept on blazing
Joked, "Thou got a light?"
Then he graced my head and said
"Dub you, now git…

Go gather up some bravery
To kick his scaly ass
Cause Draco will be savory
With some ale in my glass
Here's a sword and here's some armor
Daughter's single by the way

And I'll make sure you get married
Don't forget to dismember thee…"

This Fellowship of Varmints
Sure makes me want throne
So I can kill them as their leader
But for now I piss and moan
With some dwarves, and halflings
We are unprepared to fight
But that dragon's breath is hot
We're in charge to douse it's light
Before we chop off its head

Say, "Stupid basilisk!!!
You lit up church's sisters
And fired our Saint Paul
You gave me ma heat blisters
Yeah, you pulled a Mega-Maul
And you may think it's dandy
That you grilled up sexy girls
Yeah, All in all I am kinda-sorta peeved
Won't forget to dismember thee"

(Triumphant Dragon Slaying Solo)

Tonight I find myself having a royalty lay
Kinky princess is sure wild
Sure those royals love to play
Lord on dragon's head he dines in his big palace
Me? I'm "eating" more exciting things
Won't regret my dismembering

Can't forget my dismembering

You know, this actually reads well as a poem . . . not being familiar with the OS, but loathing the OA. . .anyhow my favorite line was "Cause Draco will be savory" for fairly obvious reasons. . .it's just funny, plain out funny. . .the whole idea, you turned a typical pop crap song into a poem, really it reads that way, I think I know this is your Ages4 entry.

Thanks Jack, and Dave.... And Dave now that you mention it... It kinda does read as a poem, hmmmmm, How about that, and I'm afraid that this cannot be my Ages-4 Entry because it wasn't made in the 80's

Heh heh, I can relate to some of what you're going through ... Many moons ago I played a game derived from D&D when I was an undergrad at MIT.

SOTM-Great

(SOTM) As BADave and Rick said, very poetic, Matty. Sadly I DKTOS and haven't got the first clue about D&D. Still 5 worthy

ROFL - this one certainly didn't drag on. So to speak. As an ex-D&D aficionado (or more accurately LRP rather than D&D), I got a real kick out of this one. If only all adventures were this much fun ;-)

(SOTM) Very good. I know you didn't like my parody but that hasn't stopped me for awarding you 555.

(SOTM) Well Well Well not your Ages eh:) It is your SOTM though, and what an SOTM it is, I already said so much don't know what else I can say except see my previous post.

(SOTM) Great way to make a corny OS listenable! And "Me? I'm "eating" more exciting things"...whoa ho ho, someone's getting randy! Overall, this slayed me. ;)

SOTM - Certainly interesting ... I'm afraid I didn't catch all of the wordplay but that may just be a side effect of being awake at 5 am.

(SOTM) I only tried D&D once, Matthias, and it was because of the obvious obsession that you and others show for it that hooked me in - I fear that, like amiright, if I did get hooked in, that would be the last my family would see of me (similar to when Myst and Riven came out) - great writing - 555
Tim Mayfield - March 29, 2007 - Report this comment
SOTM - This one did not drag on and on. No guts, no glory. Course they don't have to be one's own guts I see. Lovely imagery.
