The Lyrics

The syllable count was tough on this one, but I think I'm pretty close with maybe one or two exceptions.
Right now, they're probably enhancing
All their faked up graphs
Since the trend's been getting risky
Right now, they're probably trying
To revise the last ten years
'Cause the temp's been brisky

Right now, they'll probably hide the decline
With Mike's "nature trick"
So that the new curve won't dip so low
And they don't know

I hacked my way right deep inside
Of the CRU server's main hard drive
Tarred up files and then I ftp'ed
I put the whole thing up on some Russian sites
Notified Steve McIntyre
Maybe next time they'll think before they cheat

Right now, they're probably thinking up some
White-washed reasons why this Climategate is hokey
Right now, they're probably shredding their junk
And they're praying they don't end up in the pokey

Right now, they're hoping Copenhagen will turn
Out better than Kyoto
Oh, but now they know

That I hacked my way into the site
Of their petty little tricked-up pack of lies
Copied files exposing their deceit
They tried to suppress all the papers from those deniers
Sidestep all the FOI'ers
Maybe next time they'll think before they cheat

I might've saved a little trouble for the whole world
'Cause the next I.P.C.C. --
Report won't be believed
No, not believed

'Cause I hacked my way real deep inside
Of the CRU server's main hard drive
Tarred up files and then I ftp'ed
I put the whole thing up on some Russian sites
Notified Steve McIntyre
Maybe next time they'll think before they cheat

As recently as the early 1980's the fear was the return of a new ice age. There was a novel "A Creed For the Third Millenium" in which the government moved the whole population south for the winter. I think someone figured out there is more political power in global warming than in global cooling. Wait till it is proven that the earth continues to generate new supplies of petroleum through a natural catalytic process having nothing to do with dead dinosaurs. The greens are going to hate that, too.
