I made up this version because none of us will ever see the year 3000. Some of it is made up and most of it is about my strongest memories of 2000. I learnt two new girls' names and they're mentioned in the chorus. They're the names of the two Sugababes who are from London.
One day when I came home at bedtime, I saw my favourite boys
Looked on my bedroom wall to find out if they were the Steps boys
Stood there were H and Lee playing with my Pikachu toy
They told me they built an aeroplane like one in the sky I've seen

Not much has changed but we had Playstation 2s
And the names Keisha and Mutya
Were pretty new
Watched The Box on TV and I saw this video
Teen girls singing on screen, but the background was just plain white
70s TV programmes for the first time on the silver screen
I drove around on a subway train like one in London I've been on

Charlie's Angels was a movie
Had a new girl band called Sugababes
They were only under 18
