He went to college there and then moved onto comedy
In the late 1970s, he worked as a performer at the now-famous comedy troupe, the Second City, along with other future SNL stars
He, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, and other people were chosen for a new show on NBC in 1975 called "NBC's Saturday Night"
The show would evolve into "Sarturday Night Live" after the Howard Cossel show of the same name was cancelled
Dan Aykroyd left the show in 1980 to star in the Blues Brithers
He then did Ghostbusters, and countless other films
Ghostbusters 3 isn't gonna be made because Bill Murray declined
