The Lyrics

Here is the song about the year the greatest event in the television history has aired, "Beat the Clock", plus many more television shows and films.
Jerry just hit the wall, he never had it all
One amazing day, there were 300 boy scouts
He is watching an exciting episode of "Beat the Clock".
So he is also planning on to watch "What's My Line?"
Even though they are going to watch "Truth or Consequences"
And they were planning on to see Gertrude Berg on that
little CBS TV show "The Goldbergs".
Looks like the world is doing new black and white TVs.

Since Nat King Cole and Les Baxter were amazing albums
There goes Bing Crosby, Doris Day and Bill Kenny
He was learning in high school that went to their writing
'Cause he still preoccupied with 19, 19, 1951, 1951

He had saw all of the greatest events in TV history
There were 300 boy scouts showing on "Beat the Clock"
Though they were going to watch "Truth or Consequences"
Thought they will going to play their baseball game
And later on I am hoping to watch "Dragnet"
And they were helping to watch "Amos & Andy".
When color TV goes on the year
So on the radio there were some old-timey soapers.

So I am hoping that they will going to watch "I Love Lucy".
So they were going to watch all of the Looney Tunes
Even they were watching Popeye the Sailor and Noveltoons
'Cause they were loolking to 19, 19, 1951

Even they were watching Tom & Jerry
Even hoping to see Kathryn Grayson all along
And I am watching the movie Show Boat for them
Please force to go to the Jungle for them

And please watch A Streetcar Named Desire
There was Vivien Leigh and there was coming to be cool
And they will planning on to watch Alias Jane Doe
'Cause he was lying all the way to 1951
Even though there were 300 boy scouts and be excited
Even they were seeing a kinescope of "Beat the Clock"
Her two friends living home, they will going to make its own way
'Cause he was trapped and stuck in 19, 19, 1951
Well this was the greatest moment in television history and we receive 300 boy scouts on the show.

It is absolutely amazing to see someone else mentioning this rare broadcast. Just as I stop writing parodies about them, you start doing them. But we cannot forget about the assistant on “Beat the Clock”, “Roxanne”. SHE is the reason 300 Boy Scouts were on that program — the producers wanted them to be near a scantily-clad assistant. Not only that, but I have ALSO done a parody entitled “1951”. It’s a parody of “The Beat of My Heart” by Ben Pollack, sung by his wife Doris Robbins. I’ve done about 50 of these parodies, but I’ve stopped. Admittedly, you have some catching up to do!

Furthermore, after having stopped doing parodies about this broadcast, I have decided to make YOU the person who will continue to make parodies about this broadcast. Be sure to reference “Roxanne”, the assistant on “Beat the Clock”, the elephant that appeared, the line “Boy, you’re terrific cheesecake!”, that they can learn more about it on the Internet Archive, and that the episode is lost to history. This will get the word out of this broadcast to even more people. Because at the end of the day, it was the greatest moment in television, and human, history. And also because I want to stop talking about it, really!
