The Lyrics

He was a boy,
they were some ribs,
can I make it anymore obvious?

He had a job,
people ate them (ribs),
and he got first dibbs.

He wanted them,
they'd never sell,
secretly they had been in a well.
And all of his friends,
stuck up a peace sign,
while he ate that swine.

He was a Waiter Boy,
his boss said rib me boy,
he wasn't rich enough for him,
ribs had some extra sauce,
which meant they were for his boss,
he had to wear two extra bibs.

Five years from now,
he breaks at work,
cleaning the crap on his boss's shirt.
Asks him for a raise, guess what he says,
"get out of here," while he chomps on Lays.
He tells all his friends,
they already know,
and they all protest but his boss says no.
Then he walks along,
looks at the crowd,
looks at the man who turned him down.

He was a waiter boy,
his boss said rib me boy,
he wasn't rich enough for him.
Now he is unemployed,
which drives him paranoid,
does his crazy face tell what he thinks?

He was a waiter boy,
his boss said rib me boy,
he wasn't rich enough for him.
Now he is unemployed,
which drives him paranoid,
does his crazy face tell what he thinks?

Sorry boy but you got fired,
that is bad cuz someone got hired.
Ribs are more than his favorite food,
but they got eaten by that stooge.
It is bad that you can't see,
see the hit those ribs will be.
There's one more to see that pig die,
I see the food it holds inside.

He's just a boy,
I'm just some ribs,
can I make it anymore obvious?
He loves eating me,
haven't you heard,
how I rock his big dull world.

I'm with the waiter boy,
his boss said rib me boy,
I'll be on the stove after the day.
I'll be in the microwave,
waiting for you to crave,
about that substance you used to hail.

I'm with the waiter boy,
his boss said rib me boy,
I'll be on the stove after the day.
I'll be in the microwave,
waiting for you to crave,
about that substance you used to hail.

This is definately an original Sk8er boi parody. Very different. Good job.

Thanks, John Harvey. Your parodies are great too.

It was still funny but I didn't think it carried the original vibe of the song (i.e. ribs not rhyming with waiter) but it's still good.
Starbutt - March 20, 2003 - Report this comment
I know it didn't carry the vibe, and I know that ribs don't ryhme with waiter, but it was late at night when I wrote this song. There are a few other things that don't catch on to the original, but thanks for getting my vote.

Will somebody PLEASE tell these people that song parodies are better when the song hasn't been parodized 150,000 times already? Come on already, this is ridiculous. There are other songs out there. Every time I see this song now I want to shoot my foot with a machine gun!
Starbutt - March 20, 2003 - Report this comment
You're right that the song has been parodized so much, but I have only parodized this song once before. And Jared Lerner, what are you trying to say? That the parody is good... or bad?

Looks like I was right in "Finding Amiright": "And hated boy Skater Boy soon will be a waiter boy, Eminem pushed him outside..." Still, this one beats the gender-benders ("Doggy Toy," et al).

I don't know what you mean.
Starbutt - April 06, 2003 - Report this comment
What do you mean by "Eminem pushed him outside?"
Michael Pacholek - April 06, 2003 - Report this comment
What did I mean? I'd written a parody to "Blinded by the Light," parodying the art of parody itself. I included several references (when I first typed it, it came out "reverences" -- a Freudian typo) to other topics parodied: "And hated-boy Skater Boy soon will be a waiter boy, Eminem pushed him outside, and little Frodo's mojo got lost in the moto-photo and soon he was American Pied." I was referring to Eminem being a a posturing jerk. Surely you can imagine him pushing the Skater Boy, or at least trying to. If you don't believe me, ask the "singer" Moby. Actually, I was flattered that somebody thought of the "waiter boy" pun after I did. Not that I'm demanding royalties, but, as my grandmother would say, "It wouldn't hoit."

Oh, sorry.

I finally found the parody, and Mike, it was probably the best thing I've seen on this site.
