I am the timekeeper for my department at my employer. One of my duties is distributing paychecks to department employees, who work at various locations throughout the hospital at which I work. If an employee does not stop into my office to pick up his or her check by the end of the payday, those employees' checks must be returned to our payroll department, and employees can pick up their checks there. This song is based on an incident in which an employee was late in claiming their paycheck and jokingly accused me of cashing it and pocketing the money myself. It's all good, though—my department employees know I wouldn't really steal anyone else's paycheck, and this song is a fictitious account of what my reaction would be if someone really accused me of stealing their paycheck.
