The Drifters 's, "On Broadway"
The Lyrics:
They say the neon lights are bright On Broadway They say there's always magic in the air On Broadway But when you're walking down the street And you ain't had enough to eat The glitter rubs right off, and you're nowhere On Broadway
Why:
This mid-1960's hit tune by the Drifters mentions in both the title and the lyrics (with me posting the opening verse of the tune) "Broadway", probably one of the most familiar theatre districts (in New York City) in the world.
