Atlanta's, "Atlanta Burned Again Last Night"
The Lyrics:
Atlanta burned again last night, and all the water in the ocean couldn't put out the fire this time.
Atlanta Georgia. In this country pop song, the burning of Atlanta by the Union Army during the American Civil War (1861-1865) is referenced. It's used as a metaphor for the one night fling of an adulterous wife in her 30s with a 17 year old boy. Notice that the band's name is also Atlanta. So it could also be considered a "vanity" song.
