Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.
For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.
This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.
Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not
by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see
misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and
misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

So p*** in the toilet of my heart.
Suspicion torments my heart.
The Story: I heard the song as an 'oldie' on my father's favorite radio station. The tune was impressive, but I could understand few of the words. Later, my big sister heard me singing, 'So p*** in the toilet of my heart'. She said 'What?' I told her it was a song I heard on the radio. She said there couldn't be any such song. I then asked my father to help us figure out what the song was. I hummed a little bit of it (didn't want to sing those (misheard) words to him). Finally he guessed the song and found a CD to play it on. We heard it then but I still had to ask him the real words. He told us. Then first my sister, and then I started laughing. My father asked what was so funny, but so far we haven't told him. - Submitted by: Kayla Stewart
