The Story: I play in a band and a co-worker overheard me talking about playing some Golden Earring. He then asked "Do you play 'Twilight Zone' or Red- eyed Love?" Another co-worker/musician that heard the comment and I still get a laugh when the song comes on the radio. - Submitted by: Jody Isaacs

The Story: As an aging boomer, I've been out of the music loop for a couple of decades. While driving home from work, I was trying to zero in on my local NPR station and stumbled upon good ole rock 'n roll. This song came on, I loved it. When I went home, all I knew was the lyric 'When the bullet hits the phone', which came up empty when i tried to Google it. Frustrated, I e-mailed the radio station. They set me straight, but not before I had invested a good couple of hours in searching for the wrong song hook. Classic mondegreen, I'd say. - Submitted by: Simmie@mpixx.com
