Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Cyndi Grecco

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Cyndi Grecco's, "Making Our Dreams Come True"
The Misheard Lyrics:
And we'll do it always
The Real Lyrics:
And we'll do it our way
The Story: That's what I thought it sounded like. - Submitted by: Cody Finke
Cyndi Grecco's, "Making Our Dreams Come True"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Where's Cyndi? Who will break it?
The Real Lyrics:
Read us any rule, we'll break it
The Story: I used to think that she was referring to the singer herself. - Submitted by: Cody Finke
Cyndi Grecco's, "Making our Dreams Come True ('Laverne & Shirley')"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Got a dream that we'd throw snow now.
The Real Lyrics:
Got a dream and we just know now.
The Story: In the opening theme, the characters (Laverne and Shirley) are shown throwing snowballs at each other while this line plays. So I interpreted that as "throw snow now". - Submitted by: Matt
