Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Coal Chamber

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Coal Chamber's, "Clocks"
The Misheard Lyrics:
F***
In comes my p***s.
The Real Lyrics:
Clock
It counts my fears.
The Story: It wasn't until I found out the song was called 'Clocks' that I'd begun to doubt my original interpretation. Coal Chamber may be nasty, apparently, they're not *this* nasty. - Submitted by: Jake
Coal Chamber's, "Tyler's Song"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Cosine!
The Real Lyrics:
Go son!
The Story: I first heard this song about the time, we were doing trigonometry in math class. It was ages before I figured out the truth. I thought it amazing that they would just randomly place the word 'cosine' in there. - Submitted by: Ishtar
Coal Chamber's, "Tyler's Song"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Raise your rod again
The Real Lyrics:
Raise your guard again.
The Story: I thought it was an innuendo. - Submitted by: Internal Detritus
