Misheard Song Lyrics -> Stories -> Axel Rudi Pell

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

This page contains a list of the songs that have stories about their misheard lyrics submitted.

Song names are sorted by first letter, excluding A and The. This is sorted by song title only, not by song title and performer. So if two different performers preformed the same song, you'll see misheard lyrics for both on the same page (provided the song title was spelt the same both times, and misheard lyrics have been submitted for both!).

Axel Rudi Pell's, "July Morning"
The Misheard Lyrics:
Wednesday.
Came the revolution.
I was looking for you.
or
Wednesday.
Can you feel the lotion?
I was looking for you.
or
Wednesday.
Can you rest for lotion?
I was looking for you.
The Real Lyrics:
With the day.
Came the resolution.
I'll be looking for you.
The Story: However, after I'll see lyrics of both this cover and the original version as performed by Uriah Heep at MetroLyrics, both does not say lotion. I get more misheard lyrics of "July Morning" but for easily to read on this site not all misheard lyrics can be posted here. About this song: I'm waiting for the 1st of July to see the Bulgarian peoples travel to the Black Sea coast to watch the sunrise. Here's John Lawton from Uriah Heep performs "July Morning" at these events. After this event, the song "July Morning" as performed by Uriah Heep (see "Easy Livin'" next time on this site) became popular in Bulgaria. The recording of this song as performed by Uriah Heep was very complicated. Because, the first one minute starting with slow organ riff and later covered by guitar distortion. Later, singing at about one minute and lasting at more than six minutes with total of singing was five minutes. It composed by four verses and four choruses with guitar solo break playing at the third verse. Finally, ended with four minutes epic coda with the odd sounding calliope riffs as played by Manfred Mann who, according to the album's liner notes, "appears for the first time with his Moog synthesizer" and later according to me as "my favorite song that saving me from cute girls and young boys with their masterpiece epic coda as the bridge's way". It also popular in Germany when guitarist Pell, named after the German rock band of the same name and sung by Johnny Gioeli who previously performed with Hardline with "Can't Find My Way", covered "July Morning" in 2000. The original Uriah Heep version featured as track #3 on their album, "Look at Yourself", released in 1971 and later released as a single from this album. - Submitted by: Wisnu Aji
