Misheard Lyrics -> Song -> T -> There Were Twelve Disciples

Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody. This page contains all the misheard lyrics for There Were Twelve Disciples that have been submitted to this site and the old collection from inthe80s started in 1996. For more information about the misheard lyrics available on this site, please read our FAQ.

George A. Minor's, "There Were Twelve Disciples"
Misheard Lyrics:
He is called a stew
He is called a stew
We are his disciples
I am one and you
Original Lyrics:
He has called us too
He has called us too
We are his disciples
I am one and you
Editor's note: The person who submitted this put "Youth Leader" as the performer name. Sorry to say this, but that is not an actual recording artist or band. That name is not even found on Allmusic.com; in fact, I researched that site for this song (whose correct title, btw, is "There Were 12 Disciples") and it was written by George A. Minor, who also performed the first recorded version of it.
