The Doobie Brothers', "Long Train Runnin' (Without Love)"
Misheard Lyrics:
And the steel wheels like cool and hot
And the mountains ain't "no duh"
Original Lyrics:
And the steel rails lie cold and hard [are cold and hard?]
On the mountains they go down [For the miles that they go down?]
The Doobie Brothers', "Long Train Runnin' (Without Love)"
Misheard Lyrics:
Dow Doh! We're the Doobies now!
Original Lyrics:
Without love, where would you be right now?
Finally figured it out when I heard a cover band do the song.
The Doobie Brothers', "Long Train Runnin' (Without Love)"
Misheard Lyrics:
I got love
You're s'posed to be right now
Original Lyrics:
Without love, where would you be right now?
I inserted the subtitle "Without Love" because they say those words twice in each chorus, but they never say "Long train runnin'" once in the song.
